Crystalline Orientation and Mechanical Properties with Biaxially Stretching of Ultrahigh Molecular Weight Polyethylene and Low Molecular Weight Polypropylene Blend Gel FilmII. Analysis of Orientational Mechanism in Crystalline with Simultaneous Biaxially Stretching of Gel Press and Press Films

Simultaneously biaxial stretched homo PE, PP and PE-PP blend films were produced by biaxially stretcher. Orientation behaviors of reciprocal lattice vectors were pursued by means of a wide angle X-ray pole figure analysis. The biaxially stretched PE and PP films reveal a complex crystal orientation of PE (110), PE (200) and PP (110), PP (040) planes. The detailed analysis of these intensity distribution manifests the occurrence of crystal twinning in addition to the orientation of crystallites. In case of blend films, the distribution of crystal twinning of each polymer disappeared in the orientation distribution.
